Lungo Lago

In the municipality of Bardolino del Garda (VR) the municipality had set itself the challenge of being able to pave with a sustainable material and possibly for circular economy, the whole area of the walk on the lake side being the most experienced by tourists and vacationers during the seasons. This area had already been the subject of numerous installations over the years; but no wood could guarantee a suitable durability. During the winters and periods of high flood of Lake Garda the lake waters could then submerge the coating area by accelerating the wooden image. In addition to the constant presence of water that could have flooded the walkway, the flooring had to respond to the need for prolonged durability over the years aggravated by a very heavy footfall of thousands of people per year. Excellent strength and resistance to mechanical fixing on the lower steel substructure through connectors was also required. The other requirements were to be able to respect a few differences in color of the slats between areas with different sun exposure (without maintenance) and at the same time to ensure a high non-slip treading.
