THE NATURAL WARMTH OF THERMO-TREATED ASH
THERMO WOOD is the range in which wood is processed by means of THW heat treatment, a process that makes it stable, remarkably durable and versatile in outdoor installation.
Our Thermo products are made exclusively with raw materials of the highest quality respecting the most stringent wooden requirements thanks to the use of temperature. After being dried, the wood is gradually exposed to heat in special furnaces, up to exceed the 200°C. Through this treatment the ash is unassailable and unalterable from fungal aggressions.
From a great productive wisdom and a deep know-how together with an extremely slow and meticulous process, we obtain a refined surface, homogeneous, silky to the touch and absolutely perfect able to satisfy the highest requirements of design architecture.
In aesthetic terms, this process gives the wood a pleasant dark brown color, in which even the beauty of the fiber is enhanced already in post-production without any oil treatment.
SAPIENS has adopted this technique because it is able to develop the performance of ash wood that achieves durability of Crates 1 without the use of chemicals, obtaining a lower propensity to swelling and contraction obtained on a series of low thickness products, ideal for renovation.
